Alexis totally freaked out today because of a change in her schedule. It freaked her how to the point that she started to cry, and wanted to be homeschooled. We have come so far, but we still have so far to go. I guess it’s still hard for her to cope with change because of the many military moves we had to make. Her biggest issue is the fact that she doesn’t have any of her friends in her classes. It’s hard to see her feel so mixed up. As a parent we want to fix everything, but I guess this has to be fixed with time. I don’t know how she will take going to high school next year. It’s sad to see such a fear of change in such a smart girl. I plan to be there for her, and gently push her into meeting new children.
