Don’t Give Up On Reading
There are a few things in this world that I am thankful for when it comes to entertainment. I love the internet, and all the little perks you can find while surfing. I love the creation of reality TV shows. However none of these can ever replace their predecessor the book. Before the famous faces and the dazzling effects started we had books. There was nothing more brilliant than a playwright. Everybody who was anybody understood the importance of the book, and the author. Painting and writing have always been at the start of any culture. So today I challenge you.
I know times are hard and many of us find ourselves living paycheck to paycheck. Some of us have had to put down the coffee treats from Starbucks, and switch to the cheaper brands at our local supermarkets. While our lives might be different our hobbies don’t have to change. There are so many things that you can do at your local library. If you have small children you will find many libraries offer public reading hours. You can borrow anything from books, to DVDs at your library. So, don’t give up on your weekly readings. Go to your local library and fill out a membership card. Make it date night! Sometimes it’s the little things like opening up a book…that helps to heal the heart.
